Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health’s Calling for Applications for its MPhil in Intelectual Disability

DEGREE DESCRIPTION:

  • 2 years fulltime
  • 3 years part time
  • Non-professional Masters
  • Part 1: Coursework, assignments, clinical practicum and exam
  • Part 2: Minor dissertation on a topic relevant to Intellectual Disability

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Approved degree in medicine; clinical psychology; occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy or nursing);
  • Registration with an appropriate regulatory body: HPCSA, SACSSP, SANC
  • Ability to attend weekly seminars and monthly clinical meetings clinics in the Cape Metro (The course cannot currently accommodate distance learning)
